Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shakar is an American and British sitarist. She's the smallest woman and the first to be awarded an official British House of Commons shield. Anoushka Sitar Shankar was the Indian young sitar singer. She is both the student and daughter of Ravi Shankar. She was born 1982 in London. Her early years were spent in London in London and New Delhi. At the age of 13 she staged her first performance in New Delhi. In 1999, she completed her high school studies within Encinitas CA. Anouskha continues to have a bright performing and recording careers, despite being young. She performs regularly alongside her father and has done so for many years. In 1998 she released her debut solo album Anourag. The Grammy-nominated Live at Carnegie Hall album was released in 2002. She has performed at most major venues around the globe.
