Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds an distinguished chair in psychology in the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name has been recognized for pioneering the study of child witnesses and eyewitness memories within legal contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer, has won several awards and grants. She has worked with many government agencies and institutions around the globe on research and policies relating to child victims of the legal system. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly known as Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
